After the huge success of its previous editions, the Notte Bianca, or White Night, returns to the Eternal City Rome. More than 100 free visual arts, music, dance and theatre events are all crammed into one long night. The initiative also takes place in other cities around the world focusing on multiculturalism and solidarity. It is an extraordinary event that involves the entire city, including the major museums and cultural organisations, both public and private, along with sports centres, metro and train stations. Public transport is also free after 10pm, bus services are increased throughout the night and the metro stays open too. The White Night also advocates solidarity with the homeless.
