Engl - Giovanni Sollima and the Orchestra Collegium in 10 july 2009, Caserta
Rock, jazz, electric, anglo-saxon minimalism and Sicilian and Mediterranean ethnic music, on the basis of a deep classic background. This is the formula of the unmistakable style of the cellist Giovanni Sollima, who in his creations uses Western and Eastern acoustic instruments, electric and electronic instruments and others invented by himself. For tonight's concert, part of the musical review "Leuciana festival", the artist will play with the Orchestra Collegium Philarmonicum, founded in 2002 by the director Gennaro Cappabianca, the composer Carlo Mormile and some professors of the San Carlo Theatre, with the aim of spreading the musical culture and of favouring the formation of young orchestras.
