Cristians are very devoted to the Madonna. Maiori, in particular, has the privilege to venerate S. Maria a Mare, Maiorese honour since centuries. Since the day Maioresi fishermans found the statue of the Virgin in the sea, our Lady intercessed many times to God for Maiori. Our fathers choosed the 15th August as her fest to celebrate her Assumption in soul and body to the sky. Ferragosto is a elation day, and the song of Maiorese people join to Angels songs. Everybody today we look at the sky and next to S. Maria a Mare we feel above the world shallowness and we address hour hearts to something saint.
