Engl - Cover, the Art of the Long-playing from 1 july to 30 september 2009, Naples

Art and music are two genre that often find themselves together, giving way to experimentation and very interesting works. From the mid-50s, in fact, the connection between art and music has become more intense, due to the spreading of the vinyl records. The cover was not an anonimous holder anymore. The new covers were closed and illustrated with photos and/or drawings. The exhibition wants to document the relationship between music, art, graphics and creativity, to which many artists, like Andy Warhol, Mario Schifano, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquita, Guido Crepax, Milo Manara, Robert Mapplethorpe, Herbie Ritt dedicated their talent. The display allows the visitors not only to admire, but also to listen to the records and it counts on a series of conerts, contained in the event Tribute band.
