Jazz of the Coast is an international event that is held in Minori, on the Amalfi Cost, with major jazz stars from around the world, straddling July and August, for the enjoyment of the many jazz fans and tourists that stay on the Amalfi Coast during that period. Minori is a stupendous resort along the Coast not far from Amalfi, a pearl set in a breathtaking landscape that attracts tourists from every corner of the world. Its well-cultivated countryside, thanks to the fertility of the land, is covered with lemon groves. The event is unique because it combines the excellent quality of the participating musicians with some of the most beautiful and famous scenery in Italy. The Jazz Festival enthrals all five senses, set as it is between the sea and the lemon groves, gourmet food and the warm welcome of the inhabitants of the Amalfi Coast. The Festival is under the artistic direction of jazz pianist Gaspare Di Lieto, composer and assiduous national and international festival-goer. From its inception in 1995, Jazz on the Coast has seen artists of the calibre of Diane Schurr, Lester Bowie, John Scofield, Billy Cobham, Dee Dee Bridgewater, including Paolo Fresu and Kocani Orkestar and many others...
